A good Chinese huanghuali table cabinet, 18th/19th century,
the frieze carved and pierced with dragons, lotus flowers and tendrils, surmounted by lion-dog and flower bud finials, above a pair of paktong mounted doors, enclosing an arrangement of five drawers with huanghuali linings,

Condition:
The top of the cabinet has some occasional minor marks and stains. The exterior in general has some minor knocks and marks consistent with age and use. The pair of cupboard doors open to reveal a central bar which slides out to allow you to remove the centre drawer. The interior of the drawers and the cupboard doors have dried varnish and the timber has gone slightly matt looking. All of the finials are removable and slotted into square peg holes. The left front post and right front post have some splits to the timber at the top, otherwise in good condition with no restoration or losses.
