A Chinese soapstone group of eight immortals, late 19th / early 20th century, each separate figure carved in different coloured soapstones slotting onto a black soapstone carved and pierced with clouds, total H.43.5cm
Condition: Figure with russet tone to the head has a small chip at the top of the staff, halo piece chipped around the edges, other figures with the odd tiny nick but essentially good order, base with one or two small edge nicks,
