Provenance: According to Adams & Co. records this camera was ordered directly by Ansel Adams. Acquired in South America by a collector and bought shortly after by the current owner in the late 1970's.

Ansel Easton Adams (1902-1984) was a landscape photographer and environmentalist famous for his black and white images of the American West.
