From the collection of a Hong Kong Tea Merchant who worked for Jardine Matheson & Co Ltd, before 1940.

The finial of the cover is grubby and there is actually gilding underneath, some of it worn, the gilding around the rim of the inner liner is worn, there are minor glaze imperfections and slight wear to the glaze on the handles, otherwise in good condition with no restoration chips or cracks.
