Pronounced cracks and splitting through the planks at the lid, the back plank looks like a later piece of timber and in addition has patches where it has broken away from the left hinge, carving to front thought to be later, feet probably slightly reduced, top is a rich golden colour, front and sides are a dull dark finish.
