Condition:
Painted as an exhibition piece to gain entry to the Scottish Royal Academy. Oil on canvas relined within the past 10 years or so. Canvas remains tight, paint looks a little flattened with a broad but stable craquelure running through much of the paint. Apparently unsigned but a photograph of the original signature on the reverse has been retained. Housed in the original gilt gesso frame which is now a little dirty with cracking but otherwise it looks good.
