Oil on original canvas in good untouched condition, paint looks clean, canvas not relined, no sign of any damage, with the exception of one very small brown vertical mark showing just below the wave beneath the childs foot, this appears to be a thin surface scratch going into the paint but not through the canvas. Signed lower right, original artists label on the back of the frame along with a label for The Royal Exchange Art Gallery. Gilt / cream scroll frame which is starting to crack and split. No sign of over-painting revealed under UV light.
