William Jarrett recorded 1776-1807

A handsome case of good rich red mahogany colour, finials oxidised and loose, pillars to the side of the door stick out beyond the arch of the top of the hood, perhaps suggesting that the hood has seen some reconstruction at some point, signs of alterations to the hood escutcheon which is replacement, right side of the hood has pitting and speckling of the varnish, this does run to some extent across the rest of the hood particularly the top of the left hand side, small brass quarter capitals from the rear pilasters missing, dial heavily oxidised with replacement seconds and strike silent hands, main hands may be original but have been painted black, movement complete and was running in the house, comes with keys to both doors, winding key, brass pendulum and two later lead weights, a little hairline scratching to the trunk door and typical wear around the box base. Overall some reconstruction needed to the head and attention to the dial.
