Condition:
Pencil on paper with perhaps a little white gouache below the neck line, some slight discolouration of the ground paper, not quite extending to the margins suggesting that at one time there was a smaller mount, the paper has a hint of blue to it and show very slight undulation so may not be laid down, one or two small scattered dirt marks, later card mount and glazed original heavy gilt frame with inscriptions verso relating to the provenance, National Gallery Millbank Exhibition label for 1923 and remnant of Christie's stencil mark.
