William Greaves, Leicester. A mid 18th century walnut eight day longcase clock, the 12 inch arched brass dial with moonphase and date aperture, movement with anchor escapement, pendulum and two iron weights 7ft 3in.

Overall case has the appearance of having been restored with some rebuilding within the past 20 years or so, of an even mid walnut brown colour with a slightly matted finish, overall has an appearance of having been repolished in the similar timescale, top of hood looks to have been rebuilt with replacement veneers, one split running towards the top right of the hood and some splitting around the door, dial in good clean condition, apparently restored within the past 10 - 20 years or so, a little light pitting showing to the moonphase dial, movement clean and complete although not tested, comes with brass pendulum and two iron weights along with a later trunk key, some minor knocks and dents with repairs to the trunk, box base has a rebuilt foot, overall in fair to good clean condition.
