Warren Williams (1863-1918), watercolour, 'The Deep Blue Sea - taking a Liverpool pilot', signed and inscribed verso, 41 x 71cm
Condition: Watercolour a little faded with some damp stains and fox marks although much of the fox marking is on the glass rather than the work itself, housed in a plain card mount and modern beech frame. Although there certainly is some fading, the colours are still strong and it is not too bad, the picture however is under very grubby glass with numerous dirt specks throughout, the work itself with a few dirt stop but two water splash marks showing in the sky midway between the right hand ship and the top right corner. Sizes given are the work itself, add an additional 6 - 7 inches for the mount of the frame.
Estimate £200-300
