Two large Chinese embroidered silk and gilt thread table frontals, c.1925-30, the largest worked with figures, bats and flowers, approx. 120cm x 498cm, the second with phoenixes, cranes and other auspicious symbols, 130cm x 360cm, both with tasselled aprons and inscriptions to the Governor of Hong Kong from individuals and chambers of commerce, on a red satin ground together with a silk lined box with presentation inscription to the Governor of Hong Kong.

The two Chinese embroidered silk table frontals were a gift to the Governor of Hong Kong, Sir Cecil Clementi, from local Hong Kong members of the Chambers of Commerce and other organisations, c. 1925-30. Sir Cecil Clementi GCMG, KStJ, FRGS, (in Cantonese: Kam Man Tai) (1 September 1875 – 5 April 1947), was a British colonial administrator who served as Governor of Hong Kong from 1925–30, and Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Straits Settlements from 1930–34.
