Two early 19th century oval silk worked embroideries. Both figural pastoral scenes, mostly worked in stem stitch, the leaves in a stump work style knotting. Both embroideries set within decorative Verre Eglomise glass and gilt wooden frames.
Embroideries 15cm wide. Condition - there are three small dots on the silk of one embroidery, the silk backing, the colours and embroideries are both strong. The glass is marked in places but not broken, the gilt frames have damage, one to the decorative border.
