Two classical music related letters; a typed letter from Benjamin Britten (1913-1976) to Marie Slocombe (1912-1995) founder of the BBC Sound Archive, on ‘The Red House’, Aldeburgh headed note paper, dated 24 September 1973 and mentioning her reactions to the opera Death in Venice, as well as references to his sister Beth (a close friend of Marie Slocombe).
