Two Japanese ivory figures, early 20th century, the first of a lady carrying a child, two character signature, the second a lady carrying bitter melons, two character signature, both 13.5cm.

Figure of a lady carrying a child has a loose head and a section of the ivory around her neck and collar has been broken and poorly re-stuck. The child is missing an item from his left hand, there are some fine cracks to the ivory which have been disguised by the carver with incised lines.
The second carving of a lady is lacking an object in her right hand, otherwise good condition.
