Two Japanese Shibayama type inlaid panels, 19th century, each inlaid in wood, ivory and mother-of-pearl with an egret preening below willow branches and an eagle settling on a pine branch, the latter with four character signature to a rectangular plaque, 60.5 x 42cm, minor losses CITES Submission reference XNPLXS1W

Condition:
The first plaque decorated with an egret has some inlay missing to the birds crest and the artist’s seal mark and the second of an eagle has a crack to its right wing, otherwise it looks complete. Black bird is made of ebony with horn beak and mother of pearl legs.
