Two George III mahogany knife boxes, each with matrix interiors and serpentine fronts, height 12.5in. and 11in.

Larger box of good rich colour, a few fine old cracks running through the veneer and a little bit of veneer missing on the top right, brass work looks to be original, both side handles slightly bent out of shape, interior matrix looks to be original with the covering wearing away, no key present, one dent to the front right of the box. Smaller box of good rich colour with some crack flaws running in the veneers, brass work has lost its latch, interior with the original matrix lined with old red velvet, no key present.
