Two Danish late 19th century school sewing and embroidery long samplers on white cotton, together with a smaller red and blue cross stitch sampler dated 1845. Both white cotton samplers showing examples of patching, embroidery, drawn thread work, cut work, pleating, gathering etc. The cross stitch red and blue sampler with floral all over spot motifs and button hole border, longest 198cm x 20cm.

The long sampler has light stains due to age, the smaller sampler is unmarked and the dated sampler has been washed so red embroidery slightly faded.
