Two Chinese jade snuff bottles, 1800-1900, the first in white and russet jade of spade form, incised with flowering prunus branches, 5.4cm, the second of rectangular tapering form, the celadon stone of good even tone, 6cm

White and russet jade spade shaped bottle has a naturally fault in the stone which the carver has tried to disguise with engraving, the broad mouth is slightly mis-shaped, possibly had a chip polished off on the edge, the second celadon bottle has a few tiny white "bruises" to the outside edge of the mouth which show up as slightly whiter stone, otherwise good condition.
