The portrait of a lady has a few splits to the paper to the right of her neck and head near the border but the image has been laid down on card of some sort, the border which appears to be painted in similar style has some losses and tears to it, there is also a split to the paper just to the left of her left hand, the image has been reduced slightly in size beneath the figures of her hand go beneath the border, there is also a number of pin holes to the border where someone has probably pinned it to a wall at some stage, there is an inscription in modern pen on the back 'Part of Print Room from Newbridge House, Ireland, c.1750'.
The other image has some heavy staining upper left to the image, some other browning and discolouration on the left side in general, there is also numerous flake losses on the left hand side of the image, please see photographs, and a split to the centre of the figure holding the two baskets and a loss next to the left of her head, there are some general creasing to the paper in places, a tiny tear beneath the very right hand figure and again there is an unusual painted paper border simulating bamboo which has a number of losses and tears to it and a number of pin holes where it has been pinned up at one stage, this appears to be reinforced with a string netting which might be made of bamboo fibre possibly and there is possibly some retouching to the ground beneath the very right hand figure, a lot of spotting to the water in the foreground.
