Tiffany Studios. A patinated bronze counter-balance desk lamp with ‘favrile’ glass shade, c.1905, with adjustable angle and tilt of shade, the shade engraved ‘L.C.T’, the bronze base stamped ‘TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 417’, maximum height 41cm, shade 17.3cm diameter

Condition:
Good untouched condition, the bronze has a rich dark greenish brown tone with slight rubbing on the extremities, switch looks to be the original Bryant example, shade looks original with some very light rubbing to the pinkish inner edges, some very light scuffing where it meets the metal, otherwise in good condition. original bulb holder fitted but later electric cable. Provenance; Private collection, American vendor inherited it from her grandfather then sold in these rooms December 2022 £5,500.
