Three souvenir illustrated books of China and letters relating to the Moule family, who were Christian missionaries in Ningpo and Shanghai, in the late 19th / early 20th century, the books to include Souvenir of China, 500 illustrations published by Denniston and Sullivan, Shanghai 1908, Familiar Chinese Faces published by McTavish & Co Ltd, Shanghai and Peking Art Series V, published by J.D. Zumbrun, Peking China, together with numerous letters and a photo of Molly Moule with her Chinese nanny in Shanghai

Provenance: William Moule and his family, who were Christian missionaries in Ningpo (Ningbo) and Shanghai in the late 19th and early 20th century; thence by descent.

All of the books in the lot have some slight wear / chipping and small splits to the edge or binding, the letters are in reasonable condition with very slight discolouring to some of the paper, photographs are a little bit cold in places otherwise reasonable condition.
