Three Japanese gilt and silver decorated lacquer boxes, late 19th / early 20th century, the largest decorated with foliage in a landscape on a sparse gilt speckled ground, with inner tray with single hole, 15cm, the second with lobsters amid scrolling waves and the last with a crane, pine and a turtle, both 8cm

Smaller box with chipping to three of the corners, with slight cracking spreading up from those chips, light wear to the top of the lid, light wear to the underside of the foot rim
Next box with gilt finish cracking to the tips of two of the corners of the lid at the rim, base with rim chips that have been retouched, and slight rubbing to the underside of the base.
Largest box - a few tiny rim chips to the lid, very slight rubbing to the rim of the inner tray.
