Lot 314 , Thought to be 1908 Dows Port, Dows mark on cap.

Thought to be 1908 Dows Port, Dows mark on cap.

Thought to be 1908 Dows Port, Dows mark on cap. The two old bottles of port with no labels are probably 1908 Dow but there is no certainty about that. The property of our clients deceased father.

The history is thought to be that they originally were purchased by the Charles Wells brewery in Bedford. It was intended that they would be opened at a dinner in the late 1960's at the home of a director of the brewery who lived in old Cardington village near Bedford. This never happened and the bottles have remained in storage ever since.

An exciting opportunity to sample what could be quite beautiful.
