A mid 19th century mahogany cased thirty six hour marine chronometer, with plain outer case, brass gimbals and silvered Roman dial with subsidiary seconds and up / down indicator, numbered 31 4 x 7, movement with spring detent escapement with compensation balance and helical spring signed to match, width 14.5cm, depth 14.5cm, height 15cm

Condition:
Overall looks to be in good untouched condition, case is of an even mid brown tone with old dents and scuffs commensurate with use, one short split to the top left corner of the lid, no key for the case, dial looks original if a little dirty, movement equally looks original but oxidised and dirty, movement going but not tested for timekeeping, comes with what looks to be an original winding key.
