Both oils on high quality prepared artists panels stamped Brown, 163 High Holborn verso, panels in good order with no damage or splitting noted, paint good, finely painted with perhaps the need for a very light clean, neither work appears to be signed, both housed in extremely ornate gilt gesso scroll frames which are in very good condition.
Although these paintings are not signed they have always been understood to be the work of Thomas Creswick and the attribution has been upheld in previous auction sales and London Saleroom valuations.
