Oil on panel in honest condition, varnish looks rather dirty and discoloured, the paint has some fine but stable craquelure showing mostly in the blue but also in the thicker paint of the sand, signed and dated lower left, housed in a later ornate gilt frame which has a few small dents, labels verso for Christie's sale, looks to be lot 95 21/3/97 along with stencil marks PP217 and EP691
