Thomas Wagstaff recorded 1766-1794
A handsome clock of good rich dark mahogany colour, brass work all has some degree of old oxidisation, a fine crack running through the top moulding of the arch to the front at 12 o'clock, brass strip to the left of the front door starting to pull away, no key to front door, dial looks to have been repainted although is now rather faded with signs of old retouching and fine craquelure elsewhere, hands look original, both sides with a little light cracking running through the veneers, back door with a small section of the moulding missing top left and a tiny nick out beside the escutcheon, no key to back door, movement rather dark and dirty and not tested for timekeeping, does appear to run, no attachment has been made to the repeat lever, a later fitment has been added to secure the pendulum in transit, no winding key present.
