Oil on canvas cleaned relined and restored c.1973 when it was retailed W H Pattison £2750.
Canvas bowing out slightly in the middle, paint perhaps a little flattened notably in the trees and the clouds, with a fine but stable craquelure running through the majority of the work, the dirty discoloured varnish lying over the top and a few small marks of retouching showing at the top of the clouds in the centre of the sky, signed and dated lower right, housed in its 1970s gilt scroll frame which has suffered some losses to the edges, comes with original receipt from W H Pattison.
