Oil on canvas which is sagging a little, paint looks dirty with a broad craquelure in the darker areas of the barrel (which seems to show another pug-like dog looking out from the barrel) and a little in the dark a shadow to the left of the dog, otherwise looks to be in good order, signed lower right, housed in a later gilt scroll frame, no labels or inscriptions verso.
