Oil on canvas relined approx. 20 years ago or so, canvas remains tight, paint looks a little flat particularly in the sky where it also shows rather yellowish tones presumably due to dirt or discoloured varnish, looks like there has been a fair amount of retouching across the top of the work, a little craquelure showing there whereas across the bottom there is more in the thicker white of the snow, signed and dated lower left, housed in a later gilt scroll frame which is in good order, trace of an old Christies stencil number on the stretcher.
