Publisher’s original black Fabroleen clean and well preserved, with the blind and gilt skull motif to the upper board remaining crisp and the gilt lettering and publisher’s device to the spine bright. Page edges toned with some light spotting, principally to the fore-edge; contents otherwise generally clean and fresh. In the original dust jacket, retaining the 15s. net price; jacket with some toning, more noticeable to the spine, and light signs of handling and minor wear to the extremities, but presenting well overall. some expert restoration to dust wrapper. The volume is additionally preserved in a custom-made leather clam-shell box.
