each double sided case modelled as a binding with tooled gilt spine and marbled boards, opening to each side to show an arrangement of plaster gems with hand annotated descriptions on the inside of the boards,

Condition:
Overall in fair but used condition, the leather spines now rubbed and tatty and starting to split with the boards in some cases starting to break away, internally volume 1 has one damaged gem of the 62 listed to one side, the other side listing from 63 to 121 in good order, volume 2 with one damaged gem from 100 - 160 on one side and good condition to 161-197 the other, volume 3 with one central damaged gem from 198 - 248 on one side and good condition for 249 - 292 on the other.
