Oil on artists board in neglected untouched condition, board bows outward slightly with fine pressure creases showing horizontally above the sitters head and also vertically down the left hand side particularly towards the top corner, other small dents and scuff marks throughout the work which is also extremely dirty and suffering various fox marks, in an old gilt gesso frame with some cracking around the edges, various inscriptions on the back along with a paper label numbered 7. It has been authenticated by the de Laszlo Archive Trust.
Provenance: Discovered unattributed in a minor country saleroom.
