Peter Hathorn Thrut. A George III oak cased eight day longcase clock, the 12 inch square brass dial with silvered chapter ring, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, 7ft 5in.

Some fading to the case with the hood a mid to dark brown oak colour and the trunk box base showing a lighter grained timber, two flowerhead paterae to the swans neck, looks like later additions, pillars supporting the brass finials look later, a few old worm holes and chipping to the base of one of the pillars, some light scuffing to the lower parts of case, one piece of moulding missing from the top of the left hand of the box base, on probably later ogee feet, dial looks original and untouched, some oxidisation marks to the silvering, movement a little dirty but complete but not tested for timekeeping or running, comes with an old winding key, damaged pendulum (bob is separate) and two lead weights. Overall in need of some minor cosmetic attention but essentially fair order.
