Michael Cardew (1901-1983), two stoneware pottery jugs, one of tapered cylindrical ribbed form with strap handle, the exterior glazed in dark brown and the rim and interiors in mottled grey-green, the other (smaller) of squat bulbous form, banded in green and dark brown, the strap handle with thumbpiece and scrolled terminal, each with 'MC' impressed mark to base below handle, H 22.5cm & 15c,

Both jugs have fine crazing to glaze, the smaller jug has flaking to the glaze around the rim, spout and handle.
