Mark Hawkins, St Edmunds Bury. A George III oak and mahogany eight day longcase clock, the 12 inch arched brass dial with subsidiary seconds and date aperture, 6ft 11in.

Overall case of good rich colour, some fine cracking lines in the veneers around the hood but essentially fair order, trunk in equally good condition, box base has one prominent central split and two further vertical splits running through it, dial in rather clean order, looks to have been cleaned within the past 10 years or so, oxidisation and rubbing marks showing around the chapter ring, with a discoloured streak to the left of the left hand winding hole, movement in fair order although not tested for timekeeping. Comes with winding key, trunk key, brass pendulum and two cast iron weights.
