Condition:
Provenance; private collection. Oil on original canvas in good untouched condition canvas remains tight, slight stretchmarks showing particularly at the top, a little fine craquelure running through the paint. Not signed to the front. Inscribed verso ‘M. Lindsay Williams, H.F.Bacon Esq, H.R..(Visitor), March ‘09’. Later moulded gilt frame with leaf motifs.
