General Hancock joined the Bombay Engineers in 1852; promoted to Lt.General by 1884. Employed as Secretary to the Govt. of India Public Works Dept and Consulting Engineer for Railways.
All three watercolours slightly faded but still retaining fair differentation of colour, some scattered dirt spots across the works, all look rather flat so may be laid down, two initialled and dated in the lower left corner, all with titles on the thin washline mounts, glazed with green painted wooden frames.
