Estimate £1,000-1,500

This clock looks to have once been ebonised but so much of the ebony has worn away that it is now down to a mid to light brown tone, and a fairly matt state of polish, one finial is loose from the top front right but is retained inside, front door shows some fine cracks near the top right corner and grille, escutcheon is possibly later and lacks a pin holding it at the bottom, dial probably cleaned at some point, now with some dirt marks and oxidisation, hands have a matt finish, front door has no locking key and doesn't quite shut tight, sides in matching slightly rubbed condition, the back has a small crack in the top right corner and lower down just above the foot shows signs of old repair, door with probably a later escutcheon, does not have a key to lock but does open, lock looks to a replacement, to the left hand side of the back door there is a replacement strip of veneer running from top to bottom. Movement looks to be in good clean condition, is going but not tested for timekeeping, repeat is working, bob pendulum possibly a later replacement, no winding key, works look to be original to case.
