Two Continental porcelain figures of musicians, probably Thuringia, mid 18th century, the gentleman seated playing a mandolin, and the lady a fluted, both on flower encrusted bases, unmarked, 17.5cm and 15cm
The figure of a gentleman has an overglaze firing crack to his left shoulder and losses to the pegs on one side of the neck of the mandolin, the tip of his little finger on his left hand is missing, the figure of a lady is missing the end of each of her flute and four fingers on her right hand, there is also a chip loss to the tip of her right foot and typical minor losses to the encrusted flowers, otherwise in reasonable condition.
