A Jaques & Son Staunton boxwood and ebony chess set, in mahogany box, with green 'two prize medals awarded 1862' label, with an A.W. Gamage Ltd rosewood and boxwood chessboard, kings 4.25in., board 22 x 21.75in.

 Very minor nicks to some of the tips of the queens crown 
 One knight with red crown stamp 
 One castle with red crown stamp, same piece has rubbed marking to a small section of the top of the foot rim 
  
 Boxwood 
 Slight fading to one side of all the pieces, clearly been in the sun at some point 
 King with Jaques London red stamp to foot rim 
 Red stamp to top of one knight 
 Red stamp to top of one castle 
 One pawn with section broken out of its collar, however this piece is retained in box 
 All chessmen with loaded bases and probably later green baize 
 Box - looks like the baize has been replace, label looks to be original, comes with a board.
