John Morton & Co. of Glasgow. A mahogany cased 2.5 day marine chronometer, with brass mounted case, silvered dial with up / down and seconds indicators, signed and numbered 201, unsigned movement with helical suspension spring and blued steel details, case 7.25 x 7.25in. height 8in.

Case possibly repolished at some time, now with numerous small dents and knocks, ivory plaque to the front named and numbered to match, internally a Husun label to the back of the case, brass work with light spotting and wear to the lacquering, silvered dial in good order, one or two small areas of oxidisation spotting, movement in good running condition, brass work numbered 6816, original working key for the case.
