Oil on millboard in honest untouched condition, looks to have never been cleaned, paint is now rather dirty with some discolouration to the varnish, a fine but stable craquelure runs throughout the work bu most notably in the sky, signed lower right, housed in probably the original gilt gesso scroll frame which is now rather dried out with numerous cracks and some small losses, old paper label verso giving the title, artist, price of £10 and numbered 3, along with an old Pickfords Depository label, no signof any overpainting.
