Jno. Ratcliffe, Chester. A George III mahogany eight day longcase clock, the 12 inch square brass dial with subsidiary seconds and date aperture, 7ft 3in.

Case with two cracks in the swans neck pediment, small cracks, splits to the moulding around the top of the hood, some chipping to the gold painting of the tops and bottoms of columns either side of the dial, dial showing signs of old wear but no other faults. Movement complete if a little dusty, looks to have been overhauled within the past 10 - 20 years ago and thought to be going but not tested. Trunk door with some hairline splits running through the veneer along with dents and knocks, box base with central panel split and infil and a further split to the left along with fair wear and tear, comes with a pendulum, two lead weights and an old brass winding key.
