Oil on canvas wax re-lined 20-30 years ago, paint looks rather dirty with discoloured varnish, a re-touched repaired tear approx. 2in. long to the trees to the left of the central figure, otherwise rather dark and dirty and in addition retouched at the top of the canvas and probably elsewhere. Signed and dated lower right, later gilt frame a little tatty
