Condition:
Ground paper shows some undulation and looks to be laid down, evenly discoloured with further scattered dirt spots, the drawing itself is faded in part and retains some hints of coloured wash particularly lower down with the kneeling woman, small red inscriptions scattered across the work but look to be notes for an artist to prepare a finished work. Painted paper margins and later glazed gilt frame.
