In August 1974. Miss Sheila MacKellow, late of Beacon Gardens, Crowborough, East Sussex, wrote to Richard Nixon, following his resignation from the Presidency over the Watergate scandal, expressing her sympathy. There then followed a 20 year correspondence, once resulting in their meeting on May 22nd 1984 at the Hyde Park Hotel.
Richard Nixon:
A collection of 31 a/l's to Miss Sheila MacKellow dating April 26th 1975 - February 22nd 1994, mainly thanking for Christmas and Birthday good wishes and for the receipt of flowers, together with further letters from aides of the president thanking for the gifts of linen. Contained in a binder album along with photographs of the president and his grandchildren.
