Oil on on old oak panel which is joined a third across from the left, this joint just about shows through the paint at the front, looks to have been cleaned and restored perhaps 20 - 30 years ago or so, varnish is very shiny, little sign of any craquelure, some matted patching showing throughout the work which may be in the varnish or perhaps a sign of retouching, signed and dated lower left, housed in an old gilt scroll frame which is in good order, remnants of an old typed label verso giving details of the artist along with a label for J. Brown & Son, Fine Art Dealers or Aldgate.
