Estimate £600-800

This clocks looks to have been restored 20 - 30 years ago or so, ebonising of case remains good with light wear to the raised extremities due to polishing, key is present for the lock to the bezel, the catch has been replaced and the brass knob may well be a replacement, dial has been redone and is now a little dirty, hands in good condition. One or two small cracks running through the case around the pierced brass plaque that sits below the dial, a few old cracks and splits running up the sides of the drum of the case, sign of old repaired damage adjacent to the lock and hinge of the back door as well as a replacement piece present at the top of the back door and further repair where it meets the top of the drum case, short splits and cracks running through the bottom of the back door, back door has a working lock and key although this is a later replacement and is slightly too large, movement shaped to fit the case with engraved backplate, bell possibly replaced, looks to be in working order although not tested for timekeeping, bracket to secure the pendulum looks to be a later replacement, repeat mechanism working, overall a good looking clock no doubt with some small replacements and repairs but essentially original.
